Jessica Kunttu

Bassoonist Jessica Kunttu is an active performer and educator based in Raleigh, NC. She appears regularly with the North Carolina, Charlotte and Richmond Symphonies, as well as the NC Opera, Carolina Ballet, and other groups in the area. As an advocate for new music, she has premiered dozens of new works for bassoon and chamber music. 

Jessica currently serves on the faculty of UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke University and maintains a large private studio.

She currently serves as Vice President of the AFM Southern Conference of Locals (SoCo) and was President from 2021 to 2023. She is currently serving her fourth term as Secretary-Treasurer for AFM Local 500.
